À propos de Littératie braille Canada
Kim Kilpatrick - Vice-présidente
My name is Kim Kilpatrick. I have been totally blind since birth and have been reading and writing in Braille since I was 6 years old. I have always been passionate about all things braille and have used a Perkins brailler, slate and stylus, electronic braille displays, and note takers. I am very excited about the future of braille and use braille whenever and wherever I can. I studied music therapy and worked for many years in hospice and long-term care facilities. I then studied volunteer resource management and worked as a volunteer coordinator. I founded and managed the Get Together with Technology program for many years. I am a professional storyteller who has created and performs three one-woman shows about blindness. I am proud to be an artist with a disability. I love working with BLC especially with the adult braille learners and organizing workshops.
I have served on many boards and committees and volunteered extensively. I travel through life with my fifth guide dog yellow lab Ginger. I am proud to be on the board of BLC.
