May 24, 2025 Workshop: 2025 Braille Literacy Canada AGM (Hybrid)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the annual general meeting of the members of Braille Literacy Canada / Littératie braille Canada (the “Corporation”) will take place on Saturday, May 24, 2025 from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Eastern Time (10am Pacific, 11am Mountain/Saskatchewan, 12pm Central, 1pm Eastern, 2pm Atlantic) at the Chelsea Hotel, 33 Gerrard Street West, Toronto, and by Virtual Meeting via the Zoom platform.

This meeting will be held for the purposes of:

• Approving the minutes of the 2024 Annual General Meeting of members;
• Receiving the financial statements of the Corporation; and
• Electing the board of directors.

The full AGM package (including minutes from the last meeting, voting ballots, the report of the Nominations committee, financial statements, etc.) will be circulated directly to members via e-mail near the end of April 2025.

Some important points to remember:

• For those planning to attend Toronto in person, hotel reservations must be made before April 25, 2025 in order to benefit from the BLC special price. Please email info@blc-lbc.ca for additional information.
• We welcome anyone to attend. However, in order to vote, you must have been a member of Braille Literacy Canada (and paid your annual membership dues) as of May 2, 2025.
